Salisbury, Shannon Jane
Details of DisappearanceShannon Salisbury left her boyfriend, Henry Stankey, their two children, both younger than 2, and their home in Bangor, to go for a drive after an argument with her boyfriend, about 21.30 on October 20, 1994. She was never seen again. Her boyfriend reported her missing two days later. On October 23, Salisbury's abandoned car was found with a flat tire on Jewett Road, near Niedfeldt Road, north of Burns, about 5 miles from her home. Salisbury's boyfriend has been very uncooperative with the investigation. He maintains his innocence in her disappearance and has custody of their children. There was a domestic dispute between the couple about a month before Salisbury disappeared; they supposedly argued because she wanted to end the relationship. Foul play is suspected. Over the years, unsuccessful search efforts with cadaver dogs have taken place in the area where Shannon’s car was found. Boyfriend Harold Stankey has a long criminal history. |

Schroeder, David Wayne
Details of DisappearanceSchroeder was last seen at his Brice Prairie home on September 22, 2012. His wife took him home from church early because he wasn't feeling well. His wife dropped him off home at 2:10 p.m. and he said he would try to get some sleep. Shortly afterward, he had apparently left on foot and without his money, wallet, cellular phone or identification.
Karla Schroeder says he had been depressed the last couple of days, due in part to the pressures of taking care of their son with special needs. A police report says he was intoxicated at the time. It also alleges he was out drinking all the night before and had run-ins with employees at Hooters and Walmart. The lead investigator in the case says it could have played a role in why he left. A dog tracked Schroeder's scent for a mile along some nearby railroad tracks, then lost the trail. |

Sjoberg, Catherine
Details of DisappearanceThis was not a murder by Edward Edwards like the two teenagers who died a few years later. Getting that out of the way. Also Rodney Alcala was still in prison when Catherine went missing.
She was last seen leaving Concord Center House from the Oconomowoc High School post-prom party during the early morning hours. She got into an argument with her boyfriend at 3:00 a.m. and then left. The prom was held at the Jefferson County Concord House dance hall, on an interstate 94 interchange in Concord. She was later seen in Delafield walking home. The land around Concord House has been most deforested by now, but even then it was thoroughly searched. After passing a polygraph test, the boyfriend was ruled out as a suspect in Cathy's disapperance. I believe Delafield area needs to be searched, see article below. |

Smith, George Edward
Details of DisappearanceSmith's ex-wife, Twyla, reported him missing, saying she last had contact with him sometime in March 1996. She stated Smith's last known address was in Rome, Wisconsin, but he also stayed frequently in the Tucson, Arizona area. His ex-wife was concerned for his well-being because she hadn't heard from him in several months and he hadn't used their joint checking account, which was his only source of income. No one in Smith's family has heard from him since 1996, and his ex-wife believed he is deceased. She has since passed away. On his gravestone, his official date of death is 2001, not 1996. I believe this is when they had him declared dead legally. |

Smith, Vanessa Blacks
Details of DisappearanceVanessa may go by Blacks or Smith, her married name. Her ex- husband was David P. Smith, born April 1, 1960. Depending on the resource, her name is listed differently. They were married on August 4, 1982, in Gary, Indiana. Smith's aunt last saw her on December 31, 1990. Vanessa had gone out to celebrate the New Year and was seen at the Ambassador Hotel in the 2300 block of west Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee. She has never been heard from again. Her aunt reported her missing on July 25, 1991. Her boyfriend said he'd last saw Smith on January 1, 1991, after she called for a cab. He said he walked her to the exit of his apartment building, but didn't actually see her get into the cab, or notice what the cab looked like. ActionsMy only thought is: her husband may know something. She may have gone to Monroe LA, where she was from originally, or back to Gary, Indiana. A skip trace might help. |

Thank you Reddit: I was told the lanes would have been Towne & Country Lanes, which is still there at the same location. Just NW is a road that looks raised, railed, and busy, but if you go back even to just 2007 it's none of those things. The Fox River is right beyond. |

Details of DisappearanceStark was last seen in South Milwaukee on or about January 12, 1946. (interestingly, the same day her husband, William P. Stark, was released from the military.) She was having marital issues at the time of her disappearance. She never came to pick her two young children up at the babysitter's home and has never been heard from again. Stark's family doesn't believe she would have abandoned her children. |

Stiller, Mildred
Details of DisappearanceOn July 7, 1958 Mildred's divorce was granted against her husband. That day after court, Mildred had contact with a family member. Later that evening Mildred was supposed to meet another person (their identity is not known). Mildred has not been seen or heard of since July 7, 1958. Her husband, Norman Stiller, committed suicided on July 22, 1958. Her home address was 1012 Howard St. He left a note, but there was no indication of anything happening to Millie in it. Their children were taken in by an aunt and an adult sibling.
I know it looks like her husband killed her. But there’s a weird little fact that gives me a gut feeling otherwise. Right after his first wife died, he had an event and ended up in the hospital himself. Big leap here maybe suicide attempt. Now that second wife divorces him, he goes through with it. I don’t know if he killed her or not, but it’s possible her kids might know. |

Strahota, David Lee
Details of DisappearanceAt that time he told friends that he was going hunting down south for a couple of weeks and he requested a friend take care of his animals while he was gone. According to friends David was vague about his exact location or who if anyone he would be with. They thoroughly examined Blue Mounds Park as much as possible. One possible location may be the Fox Valley in eastern Wisconsin. Friends indicated that it is not normal for David to be gone for such a long period of time and they are concerned because he does have health issues. David does not have a cell phone, and he left his vehicle at home which is not out of the ordinary because he usually rides with others. At this time it is unknown what if any vehicle he may be traveling in. David’s house and property were searched with no leads as to where he might have gone. He told several people that he was going deer hunting down south (unknown location) with a friend and would be back within a week or two. |

Strege, Jerrold
Details of DisappearanceOn October 9, 2002, Jerrold "Jerry" Strege's father went to his apartment because Jerry had not been answering his phone. Jerry's father found a light on in the bedroom, Jerry's cell phone next to the bed, and the television on turned to the golf channel. Jerry's wallet was there as well and his motorcycle was at the apartment. Jerry's father stated that he had last seen Jerry physically on September 23, 2002. Jerry was a prison guard and had been held hostage in a prison riot a few years prior to his disappearance. He was held hostage by inmates who tortured him and threatened to set him on fire. Jerry was an avid, highly skilled amateur golfer and had been planning to compete in a golf tournament the weekend of October 5-6, 2002. The prison grounds were thoroughly searched, and it is believed Jerry might have gone into the Horicon Marsh to check his deer stand prior to hunting starting. |

Sullivan, Tara Jane
Details of DisappearanceOn April 18th, 2023, Marathon County Deputies responded to a found Apple iPhone at the dead end of Ringle Ave. The phone was found to belong to Tara Jane Sullivan. Upon attempting contact with Tara at her home in Weston, officers noticed her garage door damaged, as if a car had driven through it. Nothing else in or around the home was disturbed or provided any information of Tara's whereabouts. Tara's white 2017 Buick Enclave was located on Old Hwy 29, south of State Highway 29 in Shawano County, approximately 30 miles east of her residence. The vehicle showed no signs of struggle, and the keys to the vehicle were left in the cupholder. LE was searching using K-9's and drones. Her vehicle is now accounted for.
