Details of Disappearance

Kenneth Plaisted, a lawyer from New Holstein, went missing from the Milwaukee area on November 16, 1971. Kenneth had a business meeting in Milwaukee and planned to meet with his daughter around noon, and was supposed to pick his wife up from shopping later in the afternoon.

Plaisted had a cup of coffee in a Plankinton Building diner with a friend of his then got up and left, saying he was going to get his daughter. He never arrived at her apartment.

When the family looked at the car, the glove box was rummaged and open, the keys were gone and Kenneths hat was on the curb.

Plaisted was embezzling from one of his clients but his family does not believe he'd abandon them to avoid prosecution. Another of Plaisted's clients escaped from prison that very day and some believe he took his revenge. He is a Navy veteran and has six children. He was declared legally dead in 1979.

Was a skiptrace ever done?
