Lembke, Wallace
Details of DisappearanceWallace Lembke, formerly of W208 Main St, Delafield, was last seen at a tavern on Wells Street in Milwaukee a few days before he was reported missing on Dec. 16, 1982. A night janitor at Templeton Middle School in Sussex, Lembke had phoned in sick on December 14 and did not report for work December 15. Family members reported him missing the next day. Police initially speculated that Wallace, who lived alone with his two dogs, left on an unannounced vacation. But when traces of his blood and bloodied eyeglasses were found in the trunk of his abandoned car in the parking lot of a Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge in Wauwatosa two weeks later, their attention turned to foul play. They found blood in the car (in the trunk) when it was located at the local Howard Johnson's, but didn't have a sample of Wallace's blood to compare it to (this was 1982, remember) ActionsDo they still have the blood? |

Liedtka, James
Details of DisappearanceHe was last seen on Water Street in Eau Claire before losing contact with friends. He had been denied entry to the Pickle Bar because of how drunk he was. Liedtka separated from his friends later on in the evening but had telephone contact with one of them at approximately 12:25 am Sunday morning. James was last seen at 1:13am on November 4th walking Eastbound behind the Pickle Tavern. Liedtka is an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan.
I personally don't buy the foul play angle and believe he fell into the river. If you wish to explore the foul play stuff, Websleuths link has a discussion of it and the Vanished podcast.
