Johnson, Aaron Scott
Details of DisappearanceIn December 2020, Aaron's vehicle was located near the intersection of Perch Lake Road and Fire Lane Road A month before he disappeared he started to change. Maybe there was some substance abuse,” said Johnson’s wife, Amanda Thayer. “On December 15th or 16th [2020,] a citizen posted a photo of Aaron walking in his undergarments, and that person was the last to ever see him." Amanda said Aaron called her at work on the evening of October 10, 2020 and they argued about bills. Aaron told her he was going to stay with some friends. The next day, those friends dropped him off to pick up his truck that was left on the side of the road with a brake line issue. They last saw Aaron at about 6 p.m. Although the truck had a brake line issue, it was still drivable. Amanda explained that Aaron struggled with his sobriety since his release from prison in December of 2019. A further search of the area turned up clothing items in various locations, including Johnson's gloves, his clean boots, and pants containing his identification, as well as a check and some cash. These items were scattered over a mile-long area west of Fire Lane Road and south of where the truck was found. Searchers also noted a small teepee Johnson had apparently set up on top of a ridge, close to his truck and within sight of the road. |
